Every little bit counts! With your support, we’ll be able to roll out even more merchandise with new designs in the future.

Thank you to everyone who has generously donated your time, money, and heartfelt messages to us these past few months. We’re so thankful to have met you, and we hope to continue running this space for a long time yet! 💕

Tomb Raider

Hey there, FemHype crew! Please excuse the interruption. We’ll be getting back to our regularly scheduled articles soon. ✌

As we rapidly approach our one-year anniversary on December 1st, I think it’s important to discuss with all of you what our plans for the future are and how they might come to fruition. Way back when, I created this space in the hope that it would act as a safe, inclusive environment for women and nonbinary folk to discuss video games with others who shared that vision. It has since grown exponentially—far beyond anything I initially conceived—and for that, I want to thank every single person to ever like, comment, or share an article. You’ve helped us reach so many wonderful people, and I’m truly grateful to be working with all of you.

That leads us to today. I’d like very much to continue maintaining this space for you and, quite honestly, to build the FemHype brand as a full-fledged online publishing company. I want to be able to not only publish the incredible work of new and budding journalists in the gaming industry, but to actually compensate them as well, something that is sadly all too rare in this day and age. I want to invite more voices to our YouTube channel, too, and potentially even branch out into a podcast. None of this will happen yet, though, because like anything else, we need funding in order to achieve it.

That’s why we need your help to keep the momentum going! If you like what we’ve started here and you want to see it grow, we have a few ways you can support our work.

Sunday Loot: Kickass Game Dev Projects On Our Radar

We’re taking a leap outside of the box instead of unboxing this week! What does that mean for all of you friends at home, you ask? In our continued effort to boost safe, inclusive gaming spaces for all, we’re shifting our focus to take a look at the future developers shaping the industry as we know it. Their projects are giving rise to a whole new perspective in games—not just of their own, but in terms of the medium as a whole. Sure, these talented folks may make the whole game development thing look as easy as throwing together pasta puttanesca, but don’t let that fool you! While the games industry won’t change overnight, these projects on the horizon are without a doubt laying the foundation for a brighter, more inclusive future.

In the mood for some far-out video game concepts? What about ones being developed by a whole new generation of young women and girls? How about some real-talk games critique to go with that red wine you’re breaking out while the pasta puttanesca cools? You’ve come to the right place, FemHype friends! This is our fifth post in our revamped Sunday Loot series, and we’re super excited to be able to share all the fun with you at home. Break out your game-making tools and let’s get started.

As always, if you know of an inclusive gaming space or games project you’d love to see promoted on our Sunday Loot series, drop us a comment below or check out our contact list! We’d love to hear from you, especially about new and exciting spaces where all gamers can hang out.  ✌
