Happy Sunday, friends! It’s good to be back after our little PAX East trip last weekend. Thank you, again, to those of you who stopped by our panel and asked some truly insightful questions. And if you missed it, not to worry! The Hyrule Hyrulia team was kind enough to record and upload the video for everyone to watch.

If you are currently enrolled in college as a sophomore or junior and have the ability to live in Chicago this summer, you should absolutely apply! These positions include the Support & Editorial and Business Operations internship:
“As our customer support and editorial intern, responding to customer emails in a funny, helpful way will be your key responsibility. You’ll handle lost orders, mishandled games, and website errors.”
“Your responsibilities will range from number-crunching to documenting processes to cutting through red tape. You’ll call warehouses, banks, lawyers, and government agencies.”

If eSports is totally your thing and you have a real passion for community building, this position sounds like the perfect thing for you. We hope you decide to apply! This could be your next step in the industry, and we look forward to hearing about all the new, awesome things you’ll be doing.

Another team that needs no real introduction, Polygon is currently looking to hire editorial and video interns! If you’re 18+ years old and able to live in New York this summer, one of these positions could be the perfect fit for you:
“We’re looking for editorial interns with a genuine interest in reporting in the games and entertainment space—people who will not only work on projects they’re given, but seek out stories as well. We’re also seeking a video intern to collaborate with our team and pitch and execute video projects of their own.”
The best part? Interns are actually paid there. Yeah, that’s pretty great. We highly recommend that you apply as soon as possible. Polygon is a wonderful site with a lot to teach awesome newcomers like you!
The team that released the incomparable League of Legends is currently seeking an experienced writer to join their ranks! If great storytelling is your thing, this position is absolutely meant for you:

Your eye for grammatical perfection is focused to an atomic level. You have a deep and nuanced understanding of storytelling as a craft honed in a variety of published media. A destroyer of writer’s block and a mender of words, your drive, imagination, and technical excellence will empower the creativity of our department.”
